Baby flashcards - Patterns
Black-white flash cards, or contrast tickets, are often used to stimulate the visual development of newborn babies. In the early lifetimes, babies mostly see in black, white and gray, because their eyes have not yet been fully developed to observe color and fine detail.
The main purpose of these flashcards is:
1. 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: They help activate and develop the visual systems of babies by providing strong contrast that is easily recognizable.
2. 𝗘𝘆𝗲-𝗛𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: By looking at the clear patterns on the tickets, the baby’s eye-hand coordination can improve.
3. 𝗖𝗼𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: The recognition and follow of the patterns can improve the baby’s attention and concentration, contributing to cognitive development.
These cards are often used in the first months of the baby’s life and can later be replaced with colorfull and more complex images such as the baby’s sight improve.
